System requirements: DOS 2.0 or better to open, CGA compatible video. Introduction to the Mural Collection First make a "Tutorial" of the file, CACHE, by executing the batch file, MAKTUTOR.BAT , to make a screen presentation file called TUTORIAL.COM . Run Tutorial and screen print the text for hard copy. The file, CACHE, con- tains the text of the Tutorial and a good way to both read the documentation and exercise the programs' features at the same time is to use Muralkit on this Cach‚. You can use the screen editing features to "mess-up" what you see and reload the Cach‚ to recover the text after your experimentation. Two data handling programs are also included: GRINDER.COM and SOURCER.COM. Grinder is for processing screen files from Muralkit or Sedit, and Sourcer is for any file at all. Both are self prompting, and their use needs no detailed explanation here. For a page of instructions on Sourcer, just enter "SOURCER" from the DOS prompt. Grinder will ask for an input filespec which must be a 4000 byte file from Sedit or a single screen "write" from Muralkit (input to Grinder uses the line editor from Sedit). The screen file will be flashed to the screen so you can confirm that it is the one you want. Then Grinder asks for an output filespec and then a format selection for that output. Grinder automates the integration of your Sedit screens into BASIC or Assembler programs and can help with many other needs.
